Job Title: Director of Electrical Engineering
Location: Bethesda, MD.
Salary: $150k - 180k.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Extensive knowledge of data centers and mission-critical electrical systems. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
Position Overview
The Director of Electrical Engineering will lead and manage electrical engineering projects, ensuring that all designs and implementations meet organizational standards and client specifications. This role is crucial for overseeing the development of electrical systems in data centers and mission-critical facilities, while fostering innovation and ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering team in the design and execution of projects.
- Oversee the development and implementation of electrical systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage commissioning processes and quality assurance for electrical designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and innovation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering staff.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and ETAP software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and mission-critical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients.
- Willingness to travel as required for project meetings and site assessments.
